Volunteer Coordinator

About This Role

Are you a people person with a knack for organization and follow-through? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help welcome, organize, and support our growing team of volunteers across roles and regions.

In this role, you'll serve as a friendly point of contact, help match people with the right opportunities, and make sure volunteers feel seen, supported, and appreciated in their work for the Stoic community.

Responsibilities

• Help onboard new volunteers and guide them through the application process
• Match individuals with roles that align with their skills and interests
• Maintain volunteer records and support basic scheduling or check-ins
• Coordinate internal communication and help keep volunteers in the loop
• Assist in recognition efforts and support volunteer engagement and retention
• Maintain alignment with Stoic principles—especially justice, kindness, and diligence—in all volunteer interactions

Ideal Qualities

• Passion for Stoicism and enthusiasm for helping people feel welcomed and valued
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Friendly, responsive, and dependable—especially in digital/async environments
• Experience in volunteer coordination, HR, community building, or administration (a plus)
• Comfortable using tools like Google Workspace, Airtable, or project management platforms
• Relevant experience or eagerness to learn

Time Commitment

This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 5-10 hours per week, depending on volunteer activity and onboarding cycles.
