PR Manager

About This Role

Are you skilled in media outreach and storytelling? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer PR Manager to help craft and share our story with the world. In this role, you’ll work to build relationships with journalists, pitch stories, and amplify the visibility of Stoic communities and initiatives through articles, podcasts, and media coverage.

Your work will help raise awareness of Stoicism's modern relevance while strengthening TSF’s public presence and credibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with TSF volunteers and community members to identify potential stories and angles
• Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and background materials
• Pitch stories and guest appearances to podcasts, publications, and other media outlets
• Build and manage relationships with journalists, editors, and content creators
• Track media coverage and share relevant highlights with the team
• Maintain alignment with Stoic virtues—especially wisdom, justice, and moderation—in all communications

Ideal Qualities

• Passion for Stoicism and community-building
• Experience with public relations, journalism, or media outreach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to craft compelling narratives and pitch ideas persuasively
• Organized and proactive, with attention to detail and follow-through
• Relevant experience or eagerness to learn

Time Commitment

This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 3–5 hours per month, though time may vary depending on campaign activity or press opportunities.
