About This Role
Do you love crafting compelling emails and keeping communities informed and inspired? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer Newsletter Editor to lead the production of our email newsletters—highlighting events, stories, resources, and Stoic reflections for a global audience.
Your role will help ensure that our supporters, volunteers, and Stoa leaders stay connected, engaged, and aligned with our shared mission.
Responsibilities
- Plan, draft, and edit TSF newsletters on a monthly or bi-monthly basis
- Collaborate with volunteers to gather updates, stories, and relevant announcements
- Format and schedule newsletters using tools like Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), Mailchimp, or similar platforms
- Ensure consistency in tone, design, and voice across all email communications
- Track newsletter performance and help refine email strategy over time
- Maintain alignment with Stoic principles—especially clarity, justice, and moderation—in your writing and editorial process
Ideal Qualities
- Passion for Stoicism and a talent for written communication
- Strong editing skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with newsletter platforms and basic email formatting
- Organized and proactive with respect to timelines and publishing schedules
- Familiarity with nonprofit or community-based newsletters (a plus)
- Relevant experience or eagerness to learn
Time Commitment
This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 5-10 hours per month, depending on newsletter frequency and content volume.
