About This Role
Are you passionate about uncovering insights through data? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer Data Analyst to help us track, visualize, and interpret the impact of Stoic communities worldwide. In this role, you'll transform raw data into actionable insights that inform strategy, support outreach, and help us grow our mission with clarity and intention.
From tracking participation in local Stoas to analyzing site traffic and volunteer engagement, your contributions will directly support our ability to make data-informed decisions rooted in Stoic principles.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data related to Stoa participation, site traffic, community engagement, and more
- Collaborate with TSF volunteers to define key metrics and reporting goals
- Create dashboards, charts, or periodic reports that help TSF monitor progress and identify trends
- Offer data-driven insights to support initiatives in community growth, digital engagement, and volunteer development
- Help maintain data integrity and consistency across tools and platforms
- Maintain alignment with Stoic virtues—especially wisdom, justice, and temperance—in your approach to analysis and presentation
Ideal Qualities
- Passion for Stoicism and interest in supporting a purpose-driven organization
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel/Sheets, SQL, Python, R, or BI tools like Tableau or Looker
- Ability to interpret and communicate data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and respect for accuracy and privacy
- Curiosity, creativity, and comfort exploring messy or incomplete datasets
- Collaborative spirit and a willingness to learn from others
Time Commitment
This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 5-10 hours per month, but you can tailor your involvement based on your availability and interests. Both short-term and long-term contributors are welcome.
