About This Role
Are you passionate about education and Stoic philosophy? The Stoic Fellowship is looking for a volunteer Curriculum Developer to help create structured learning materials, discussion guides, and educational resources that make Stoicism accessible and engaging for individuals and groups.
In this role, you'll design resources that support self-paced learning, community discussions, and public workshops—all rooted in the core virtues and texts of Stoic thought.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with TSF volunteers to identify educational needs and opportunities
- Develop curriculum outlines, lesson plans, workbooks, or discussion guides
- Design content suitable for individuals, Stoas, or online learning environments
- Adapt ancient texts and modern interpretations into accessible formats
- Ensure clarity, philosophical accuracy, and practical relevance in all materials
- Maintain alignment with Stoic principles in your work
Ideal Qualities
- Passion for Stoicism and a desire to make it accessible to learners of all backgrounds
- Background in education, instructional design, philosophy, or related fields
- Strong writing, research, and content-organization skills
- Ability to synthesize information into clear and engaging materials
- Experience creating educational content or working with learning platforms is a plus
- Relevant experience or eagerness to learn
Time Commitment
This is a flexible volunteer role. We ask for a commitment of 3–6 hours per month, depending on project scope and your availability.
